Good copy cannot perform when the message does not reach the inbox. Deliverability is influenced by authentication, list quality, engagement, complaint behavior, content and sending practices.
Authenticate the sending domain
Use the platform’s current setup guidance to configure the required records. Keep ownership and access documented. Technical implementation should be verified rather than assumed.
Protect list quality
Use consent-based acquisition, remove invalid addresses, avoid purchased lists and monitor the source of poor engagement. A large list is not valuable when it contains people who never asked to hear from the brand.
Coordinate flows and campaigns
A customer can be eligible for several automations while campaigns are also running. Frequency controls, exclusions and customer-stage logic reduce fatigue.
Monitor negative signals
Review bounces, spam complaints, unsubscribes and engagement changes. Do not respond to a decline by sending more frequently to the same unengaged audience.
Use a sunset strategy
A re-engagement journey should have a defined end. Continuing to send indefinitely to people who show no interest can weaken sender reputation.
Document the measurement window
Deliverability changes take time and can be affected by factors outside one flow. Avoid promising instant inbox placement or reporting improvement without a baseline and observation period.
